Article IV. Registration Requirements for Dogs Transferring into the TSSR

Section A. Requirements

  1. Dogs who wish to be transferred from another registry to TSSR must provide the following:
    • Any dog under the age of 27 months may apply for Temporary Registration Certificates by providing:
      1. A pedigree or current registration certificate.
      2. Four (4) pictures of the individual dog to be registered (taken while standing, views from front, rear, left side and right side).
      3. Owner will then follow Adult Registration Certificate guidelines.
      4. Transfer fees for pink puppy papers are $20 made payable to TSSR.
    • Any dog applying for Adult Breeding Certificates must provide:
      1. Original pedigree or current registration certificate.
      2. Copy of DNA results, with both parents indicated as “qualifying”
      3. Passing FINAL hip certification rated either as:
        • OFA: Fair, Good or Excellent.
        • PennHIP where both hips must score not over .50, with no degenerative joint disease.
        • OVC: Normal**
      4. OFA Heart Certificates.
      5. Completed Fault and Virtue form.
      6. Four (4) pictures of the individual dog to be registered taken while standing, views from front, rear, left side and right side).
      7. Copy of TT or CGC, CGN, or video.
      8. Transfer fees for adult breeding papers are $25 made payable to TSSR.
  2. Any dog applying for Adult Non-breeding Certificates must provide:
    • A pedigree or current registration certificate.
    • Four (4) pictures of the individual dog to be registered (taken while standing, views from front, rear, left side and right side).
    • Copy of hip certification from OFA, OVC or Penn Hip(recommended).
    • Transfer fees for non-breeding papers are $5 made payable to TSSR.
  3. No dog will be accepted that is co-owned or has a breeder agreement without the approval in writing of the co-owner/breeder.

Section B. Exceptions

  1. Any Outcross progeny from other registries will enter a modified Outcross program and abide by all guidelines under the TSSR outcross program.
  2. Any dog or bitch not meeting all the requirements for either Adult Breeding Certificates or Adult Non-breeding certificates may petition the Board of Directors for approval.
