Section B. Hip Certificates

  1. OFA, PennHIP and/or OVC certificates submitted to TSSR will be maintained in each dog’s Registry File.
  2. Upgrade x-rays of any dog may be submitted at any time. The new certificate will replace the previous certificate in the Registry file. In order for the new certificate to be valid a DNA certificate taken at the time of the latest x-ray must accompany it, or if a microchip was recorded at time of the first x-ray, a scan of this microchip will suffice as proof of the dog being x-rayed.
  3. Permanent hip certification is required for an actively breeding dog.
    • OFA Finals: 2 years (24 months).
    • OVC Finals: 18 months.
    • PennHIP will be considered final at 18 months of age by TSSR.
