Article XIII. Titles
Section A. Champion Certificates
- Adult Champion Certificates will be presented to any dog or bitch registered with TSSR that is at least 15 months of age or older and has accumulated a total of 15 or more points under three (3) or more different judges with at least two (2) majors (under different judges) Championship certificates will be issued by the registrar when notified that Championship status has been attained.
- Junior Breed Championship Certificates will be awarded to any dog or bitch registered with TSSR who has not reached 15 months of age but has met all other requirements for an Adult Championship. The dog/bitch will not carry the title of Junior Champion on Registration Papers. To attain Adult Champion status the Jr. Breed Champion needs to attain one (1) major after the age of 15 months — this can be done by winning a major in class (3, 4, or 5 pts) or if showing at Champion status of the show organization (ARBA, RARITIES, etc) by winning BOB or BOS with at least three (3) or more Shilohs of the same sex in the ring. A major group win, Reserve BIS or BIS will also qualify as a major win.
- Outcrosses are eligible for breed championship status under the same rules as a Shiloh Shepherd.
Section B. Championship Points
- Winners dog/bitch (WD or WB) at any show earns one (1) point for every other Shiloh Shepherd entered over the age of 6 months of the same sex.
- Best of Winners will receive the same number of points as the higher number of either the WD or WB winner.
- Group 1, 2, 3, 4 winners earn the points as indicated in the table below.

At no time will the points earned for the breed and group wins be combined.
- A Best In Show or Reserve Best In Show (ADULT) winner will automatically be calculated as a five (5) point major.
- Five (5) points is the maximum number of points to be awarded for any one show.
- Win sheets must be sent to the Show Chairperson and postmarked no later than 10 days from the date of the show in order for points to be awarded.
Section C. Grand Victor/Victrix (GV) and National Select (NS)
- All Shiloh Shepherds competing for these awards must have TSSR Permanent Adult Breeding Registration Certificates and have obtained their Adult Breed
Championship prior to the close of that fiscal year. - Point tabulation will be kept by the Show Chairperson on a continuing basis as follows:
- Best of Breed (BOB) winner will be credited with one (1) point for each Shiloh Shepherd over the age of 6 months defeated in competition including self.
- Best of Opposite (BOS) winner will be credited one (1) point less than the BOB winner.
- The highest scoring dog/bitch at the end of each fiscal year will earn the prestigious titles of Grand Victor and Grand Victrix. The winners will carry the prefix of “GV” in their registered name.
- The next 10 highest scoring dogs and bitches earn the prestigious title of National Select. All National Select winners will carry the prefix of “NS” in their
registered name. - The permanent Adult Breeding Registration Certificates of these dogs/bitches will be automatically upgraded by TSSR free of charge.
- This is a yearly tabulation beginning on January 1st and ending December 31st.
- The Shiloh Shepherd must be registered with the TSSR for the full fiscal point year to qualify. Those Shilohs transferring into the TSSR will carry over breed points/breed championships. GV/NS points gathered prior to transfer will not count towards a TSSR award — only GV/NS points earned after the transfer will count towards a TSSR award.
Section D. Puppy of the Year (POTY)
- Any TSSR dog/bitch who has obtained their Junior Championship or Adult Championship but is not eligible to obtain their Adult Registration due to age, and has accumulated GV/NS points is eligible to compete for the title Puppy of the Year.
- POTY will be awarded to the dog and bitch with the highest total of GV/NS points.
- The title POTY will not be placed on the dogs/bitches registration papers.
- POTY will be awarded at the same time as GV/NS awards.
- The dog/bitch must be registered with the TSSR for the full fiscal point year to qualify. Those Shilohs transferring into the TSSR will carry over breed points/breed championships. POTY points gathered prior to transfer will not count towards a TSSR award — only POTY points earned after the transfer will count towards a TSSR award.
Section E. Register of Merit (ROM)
- This title is awarded to the sire and dam when at least two of their TSSR registered progeny accumulates a minimum of 250 points as per the following
table. Points will be tabulated from documentation received by the TSSR Registrar and Show Chairperson. The title ROM will appear behind the dog/bitches registered name and a new registration certificate will be issued by the TSSR registrar.Points Achievement Points Achievement 10 pts Each Championship Point

Section F. Win Sheets
- Win sheets must be completely filled out and submitted in order to assure that accurate dog and breeder tabulations can be documented for GV, NS, ROM, POTY and Breed Club Championships.
- Win sheets will be accepted from AKC fun matches, specialty shows and rare breed show organizations sanctioned by TSSR.
- All win sheets must be signed by the show chairperson and mailed to the TSSR Chairperson postmarked within 10 days from the last day of the show or any points earned will not be credited.
Section G. Restrictions on Showing Dogs/Bitches
- All breeding quality dogs/bitches that have not been neutered, spayed or altered in any other way may compete for Championship Titles.
- Dogs holding Temporary Registration Certificates marked as breeding, show and upgradeable may be shown.
- Outcrosses are allowed to show with those show organizations that recognize the Shiloh Shepherd outcross and allow them to show with their organization in an outcross class or Shiloh Shepherd class. OTX 1 or OTX 2 should not be represented as a “full” Shiloh Shepherd with show organizations.
