A Tribute To Those Who Served
The TSSR is a not for profit incorporation. Our board members share a common love of the Shiloh Shepherd breed but also a sense of duty to shepherd the breed and serve both the TSSR organization, as well as our registrants, mission and goals. Our members serve selflessly. This is a tribute to those who served and are gone way too soon.
A Tribute to Susi Ramstead
Susi Ramstead was one of the founders of The Shiloh Shepherd Registry and a long-standing board member. In 2002, Susi was instrumental in bringing Boz (Behuter Von Hinterland) into the TSSR outcross program.
Sadly, she passed away unexpectedly in June 2019. We are all shocked, heartbroken and deeply saddened. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and words.
Her TSSR Board Member Profile
“Most of my life has been spent raising five children and working as a nurse in and OB/GYN Office. I also worked awhile for a Congressman which was great fun! But no matter what, the Shiloh’s have been a part of my life and that will never change. If you own one you will certainly know why.
I got my first Shiloh in 1994 as a pet for our family. I wanted a shepherd like the one I grew up with. I ever intended to show or breed, but Shadow, who was named by my four year old daughter, changed all that. He was magnificent and he deserved to earn everything he did in the show ring. His progeny have been a very important part in helping this breed move forward.
I have been involved with TSSR from the beginning. We are doing some really great things. I strongly believe in health testing. It is important to keep this breed healthy and going strong for our children and their children.”
A Tribute to Heather Yates
Heather was a talented artist & photographer. A true friend of the Shiloh Shepherd breed. Her artistic talents were incredible and she represented the TSSR with class and style. She developed our website and created memories through her photos for countless Shiloh owners.
She passed away suddenly November 2020. She will always be remembered fondly and her photos a cherished memory by so many.
Her TSSR Vice-President Profile
“We had the pleasure of bringing our first Shiloh Shepherd, Hamish, into our lives in early 2004 and haven’t looked back. We’ve since added more Shilohs to our home and gotten more and more involved with the breed.
By day I wear the hat of a website/graphic designer and developer and my free time is dedicated to my family, my dogs and my photography hobby. Besides sitting on the TSSR BOD, I have volunteered with our Shiloh Shepherd parent club, the ISSDC, where I also currently sit on the Board. I have also been involved with the EPI Research Fund where I’ve helped with outreach, education, fund-raising as well as some special products like the “For the Love of Dogs” EPI Fund-Raising wine.
My special interests include canine health related research and causes and I’ve been lucky enough to further my education by attending seminars including those by the AKC Canine Health Foundation Breeder Symposia, Claudia Waller Orlandi, Dr Jean Dodds and Dr. Joseph Wakshlag.”
