Our story in Shilohs started with our first Shiloh Bes, but it was our second Shiloh Shepherd Gryphon who would change our lives in the most profound way. It is because of Gryphon that we now own and operate our own canine theraputic swim facility, K9 C.A.R.E.

Gryphon was diagnosed with severe hip and elbow dysplasia at 12 month of age. Our vet suggested we find a hydrotherapy pool and seim him as swimming had been found to be helpful in treating dysplasia but he was adamant it was a “warm” swim.

They say timing is everything … well the timing of this really could not have been better.
At that time we were in the final planning phase of building a dog training facility.The facility would have been complete with an off leash dog park and permanent indoor and outdoor show grounds, Doggie Day Care and Camp.

Guess what we built instead?
The phrase “Dog is My Co-Pilot” has never been truer, our course was indeed set by our Dog.

Our training center still has not been built BUT years and hundreds of dogs living better lives later we know we made the right choice.
