Zephyr Shilohs is, at present, a small stud kennel only. We believe in breeding for the total Shiloh Shepherd; the ultimate, healthy companion bred for superior intelligence and intuition who can adapt to a wide variety of living and working situations. We strive to help produce dogs that are of sound mind and body, with the true Shiloh temperament and conformation. In our opinion, the Shiloh should be a formidable, athletic dog who is able to perform any task asked of him and always respond to his owner’s needs. While size is important, overall balance is more so and the Shiloh’s size should not impede his movement and athleticism. We believe that strict health testing is important in the development of the Shiloh Shepherd breed and that honest communication between breeders will help ensure the best breeding decisions for the future of this breed.

Our current stud is Zephyr’s Full Throttle RSS, aka “Bozley.” Bozley was chosen for his impressive pedigree, which includes several important foundation lines as well as two of our favourite outcross lines, Boz and Artus, in addition to his exceptional temperament and conformation. Bozley is a very masculine male, with a broad head and muzzle, great ear set and shape, excellent expression, and very good size. He has a perfect sabre tail, a proper plush coat, and is in excellent physical condition. Bozley has a medium temperament, moderate play and prey drive, and is very intelligent. He is athletic and enjoys hiking and swimming. He is very social and gets along well with all other dogs, cats, and small animals. He enjoys any form of training and quickly masters any task he has been asked to attempt.

We recently added a Bozley son, out of beautiful Eden from Genesis Shilohs, to our family. Dodger has his father’s handsome head, but his dam’s sweet and gentle expression. He is already as tall as his sire and I expect will fill out to be as heavy, if not heavier, at maturity. He is a very kind, intelligent, and social boy who loves everyone he meets. He has less working drive than his father and much prefers to sit on someone’s feet to get an ear rub than work, though he is as intelligent as his father. He is already doing therapy work, at just 13 months of age, and especially favours children. Dodger’s health testing is underway and we hope to make him available at stud by Summer 2016.
